Since moving to Florida from New York, I’ve noticed that even though they have beautiful front and back yards, many people just hang out in their garages to watch TV and entertain. What is the motivation, as there is no air conditioning, and it sure looks tacky.

I have spent A LOT of time in Florida in the past 5 years, and I know many people that live in Florida. I know exactly what you mean. I think it is because they are just looking for shade or something like that. There really isnt any other good answer to it.
