I have recently noticed a long term trend in my attraction to others: I never fall for anyone where I know it will work out. Every girl I have ever gone out with, or even had a crush on, has been someone I know I cannot have a successful relationship with. Reasons have included too far away, different social status (not important to me, but very much so to the girl), different desires for a relationship, personality conflicts, etc. I have known all these things before I ask the girl out or even before I like the girl, but this continues. More distressing, if it looks like the relationship will work out, I always lose interest. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what did you do about it?
