Richard-L30059ParticipantFunny! Lemme see…my head hair is dark blond, until the sun bakes it, then it turns light blond…my face hair is almost all gray, my arm and leg hair is light blond, my chest hair is dark brown, and so are are my pubies. I must be a freak.

J.D. RicksMemberSome do. For most, it’s darker than the hair on their heads. Remember too that the color of the hair on their heads often comes from a bottle.

David25924ParticipantLook at other body hair, eyebrows, leg hair, armpit hair, these will generally be the same as the pubic hair. White’s body hair generally is darker than head hair. I have never seen a white man with leg hair any color other than dark brown to black. Theere is a ‘Myth/Question’ among some white men I know of whether Blond white women have blond pubic hair, for the most part they don’t, it is almost always dark brown to black. I dated a redhead many years ago and her pube hair was dark brown but had some reddish tones, I work with a natural blond female, we have a great friendship and I asked her about her pubes and she said hers was dark brown.

SlickParticipantBlondes usually have wispy pubes because blonde hair is finer. Know why pubic hair is curly? So it won’t put your eye out…

John29323ParticipantI am blond, and my pubes are brown – so is my chest hair. However, my arms are blond, as are a portion of my legs. I think it is the sun. My sister’s hair turns green if she swims a lot – never asked her about the pubes, though.

LanceMemberI have to tell on myself. When I read your subject I thought it said ‘White pubes’. I’m 52 and yes my pubes are turning white, or gray. Ha! See what you have to look forward to?!

MarieParticipantYou may not have noticed but if you look at a light-haired person’s eyebrows, they are very often a shade or so different from the hair on their head. Most often it’s a bit darker. I think that it is not unreasonable to say that the pubic hair often matches the eyebrows. Now, when you take hair color into consideration, all bets are off! And exposure to the sun can naturally lighten hair and brows, but it can and does lighten public hair if one sunbathes nude. ; )

Marie22238ParticipantI was always told to look at the color of the person’s eyebrows and that will tell you all you need to know. It has worked every time for me, but then again, I’ve had limited experience. 🙂 My eyebrows are blond, and I’ve got blond pubic hair. My half sister has reddish hair, but brown eyebrows and she’s got brown pubic hair. One of my friends has blondish hair, but black eyebrows and she’s got black pubic hair. I’d be interested to know if what I’ve been told is true…!

SarahMemberI’ve always found a good way to judge the color of someone’s pubic hair is by their eyebrows– just as their are natural blondes with somewhat darker eyebrows than their natural ‘head hair'(like me, haha), there are blondes with darker pubic hair. Same with red heads. Basically, though, it’s not going to be too drastically far apart–no redheads or blondes with jet-black pubic hair.

KæresteMemberI have various shades of reddish-brown hair all over, though it’s strawberry blonde and gray on top. If I sunbathe in the nude, even the pubes get a little lighter. I’ve dated mostly blondes, and yes, the pubes are blonde to light brown (and a little softer than my darker hair).

GregMemberI am a PhD student researching the male experience of puberty. Pubic hair colour has come up a lot. Everyone is curious it seems. What I have found so far is the the darker a person’s head hair is, the more likely they have the same colour pubic hair. Many blondes have dark pubic hair. Many people hair body hair that doesn’t ‘match’. But the one consistent thing seems to be that the pubic hair matches eyebrow colour more often than head hair colour. Go figure !

ErickaParticipantEveryone’s pubic hair is slightly darker. My husband is black and his is darker than the hair on his head. I’ve always been a natural blond and only recently has my head hair darkened up, but my pubic hair has always been brown (which I actually prefer to blonde).
