I live in Chicago and I think that my time here has led me to make more generalizations about black people. I CONSISTENTLY see the following: homeless blacks with ‘ash-y’ lips getting on the bus and asking for a ‘coh-tah’ (aka quarter) or blacks lined up to cash their checks on Friday mornings. I for one am sick of being eyeballed by street people the second I’m within eyesight of them. I know they’re looking at me! The 2 issues go hand in hand; don’t blacks believe in saving money in banks? Why don’t they get this simple principle of personal finance?
