HilaryParticipantI am not a patron of any religion and was not raised into one, but many call me an athiest, many say metaphysical. I do like theory and philosophy and also believe that the world as we know it has happened through science, but I do question spirituality, too. Where’s the line?

Teresa19779ParticipantRead literature, research, or other accounts about what you say you’re interested in: philosophy, theory, spirituality, science, etc. Try to find others who believe like you do. It might be difficult at first because your personal belief system doesn’t really have a name (that we know of!), but don’t give up–keep asking around. It is important to find a community of believers–as you know, it’s not enough just to believe by yourself. But of course…often when it comes to beliefs, spirituality and such, you don’t find the community–it finds you. So be open to what you feel is the right community according to your beliefs.

George *******ParticipantYou might be what some call a deist: you are a rationalist (believing the world is ruled only by science) who yet believes in God (though usually a distant one).

Jacob-BParticipantWell personaly, I think the difference between religion and spirituality is the belief in a deity. The difference between spirituality and atheism is a search for connectedness and belief in something greater. If you want more information, go to http://www.belief.net and find their page on atheism.

Laurie-BrandtParticipantI think that if what you believe is in line with what a particular religion believes, then you are ‘religious.’ If you do not follow a particular organized religion, then you are ‘spiritual’ or ‘philosophical’ etc.
