Re Lia Lee a Hmong child treated in the USA for epilepsy or ‘the spirit catches you and you fall down’ as perceived by the Hmong. This family were undoubtedly treated in some instances in an unfair way. I am currently doing a nursing assignment and would like to know – From a Hmong perspective – What more could have been done from the Hmong perspective to ensure a better outcome for Lia and her family. My information came from a book by Anne Fadiman with the title above.
