JordanParticipantHas anyone seen racism toward Jewish people? Or does anyone have any personal stories of being discriminated against for being Jewish?

Ann L. LowensteinParticipantI’ve dated three ‘men’ who referred to cheating someone financially or selling them shoddy, overpriced goods as ‘Jewing’ them. Not a single one of them saw anything wrong with that term. I (very briefly) dated one jackass who insisted my personal distaste for pork was genetic, because ‘Hebes aren’t able to digest pork.’ I spent the fifth grade in central Texas, in a town called Corsicana, which was founded by Italian Jews. Despite this, when all my darling little so-called friends found out I was Jewish, they completely ostracized me, except to dance around me in the school yard chanting ‘Jesus killer’ during recess. That same year, the Social Studies teacher took it upon herself to explain to the class how the Holocaust is a ‘Zionist lie’ when SHE found out I was Jewish. On a more general note, Jesse Jackson hates Jews, and keeps accidentally showing it when he thinks no one is listening; and we won’t even talk about Sistah Soulja. Plus, don’t forget, during the Rodhamovich-Clinton Regime, every Arab terrorist in the known world was welcomed with open arms to the White House, but when Bibi Netanyahu visited, he was publically villified by the Czarina -er- First Lady. Of course the really sick, sad thing is some of the most rabid Anti-Semites I’ve ever met are self-hating ultra-left-Liberal Jews.

MarianneParticipantLike most Jews, I’ve had to hear people talk about trying to “Jew someone down”, meaning to try and get a good price on something, but in a derogatory way. I believe the courteous term is “to haggle”. I grew up in Portland Oregon in the sixties and heard, “Kike”, “Yid” etc. A girl tried to beat me up in the 7th grade, calling me a “dirty kike”.(I kicked the shit out of her). Had a co-worker make a “joke” about “getting the ovens ready”. Had a woman tell me during a fight that, “I was the kind of Jew that gave the holocaust a good name”.
