I and my family are Caucasian. We live in an area that has a large Vietnamese population, and I have noticed that many of my Vietnamese neighbors seem to like to sit in their garage, with the garage door up, and just hang out. Sometimes they have friends over and they all hang out in the garage… eat in the garage, watch TV in the garage, sit and talk in the garage… rather than gather in the living room for instance. Is there some cultural reason for this or is it just because they have more space there… or they are using the livingroom for something else?
