RezzgirlMemberI’m starting to notice that the traditional students here on campus make fun of the students that are older and seeking the same goals they may be seeking in life. Why is it this way?

ShirleyAveryParticipantYounger students who make fun of older students are immature. When older students go back to school, they are usually more motivated and focused on their goals, rather than going to college to party or because they doen’t know what else to do or want to postpone working full-time. Maybe some of the younger students are jealous. Maybe they feel awkward because they think of the older adults as parent figures and don’t know how to relate as peers. Just Curious
