I have always heard that black people are extremely family-oriented and especially nurturing toward their children. However, I have noticed that black mothers seem to react in a violent manner toward their children for the slightest misbehaviors. These particular mothers seem to think nothing of hauling off and slapping their children. Why this incongruity?
