MawkParticipantI have a beautiful, lovely, intact foreskin. I would like to know if it is better to be cut(circumcised) or uncut? I would like to hear from every point of view: Someone who was uncut and decided to get cut; someone who wishes they hadn’t been cut; and, especially someone who knows what it’s like to be partnered with an uncut man. Are there really hygiene issues and are there really sensitivity issues? I think at the moment I would rather get cut.

Bill23247ParticipantMy father, at 18 years old and in the Navy during WWII, had a circumcision performed. He told me it was the most painful experience he ever had and if he had to do it over again, he absolutely would not. Interestingly enough, he had all four of his sons circumcised at birth. I guess you need to ask yourself if it is worth the trouble, pain, and possible surgical risks. Personally, I’d leave it alone.

NancyParticipantI actually did an entire class presentation on this very subject supporting the right of male babies to remain intact. Circumcision has become a very socially expected ritual in some cultures, moreso in the US than Europe. Doctors have tried to link the removal of the foreskin with reduced incidences of penile cancers, etc. only to be proven wrong. I have been married to an uncircumcised man, and yes, there are hygiene issues….keep it clean. It is that simple. For you to pursue circumcision at your age would be a dangerous and quite painful experience. Circumcised men have less sensation in the glans area and the removal of the foreskin lessens the natural gliding motion of the penis and turns it into more of a friction rub. If you are ok with your ‘beautifully intact foreskin’ I say keep it.

Circ-VictimParticipantDon’t do it!! I have been ‘restoring’ for some time now and the increase in sensativity is outstanding. I can’t imagine how sensative the natural/normal penis is. At least, if you decide to get circumcised, it will be your choice. Not that of an uncaring, uninformed, ignorant parent or doctor. Infant circumcision is a barberic procedure and should be declared illegal as severe child abuse!!

NickiParticipantI insisted that my boyfriend get circumcised after we started having sex. I don’t know if he pushed too hard or what, but sometimes the skin would kind of snap and bleed. Sounds gross, but it even smelled bad sometimes if he hadn’t taken a shower in a few hours (not that he isn’t clean, because he is). Not to sound too crass, but I didn’t want that in my mouth, and certainly not in my body without a rubber. I know you’re gay and my experience probably doesn’t matter, but I just wanted to comment.

HectorMemberI am gay and have had sex with uncut and cut guys. I would rather have sex with cut guys because I enjoy oral sex. I don’t give it to uncut guys, partly because it smells a bit, and it just looks ugly. I am cut.

MJ22526ParticipantI read somewhere that all an uncircumcised male needs to do is pull back the foreskin when he is showering and clean underneath it. I’ve also read that after one male got circumcised he experienced decreased sensitivity.

Thom A.Participantthat’s absolutely true! not only is sensitivity decreased, but it takes much longer to ejactulate, and more lubrication is required, as some of the natural juices are gone. the reason that sensitivity is decreased, is because when the foreskin is removed, the protection of the sensitvity is taken away. Then, over the years, the exposed nerves on the penis head rub up against clothing directly, and tthe nerve endings are then deadened over time.

Netta-F20205ParticipantMy husband is ‘uncut’ so this part I can help you on. I’ve had sex with the cut and the uncut and I must say that I like it better ‘uncut’. It just feels a little different. I have never noticed a smell and he has never torn himself. It is true that when the ‘uncut’ bathe they must pull back the foreskin for hygienic reasons and it may not be the prettiest sight, but, all in all, I love it.

KM26933ParticipantWorldwide, cutting peoples’ penises is not as huge an issue as the English-speaking world thinks – 85 percent of the world’s male population is NOT circumcised. Source: http://www.cirp.org/pages/parents/circ-why/
In most civilized countries, circumcision is considered an unnecessary surgical operation, and even more as a barbaric – and often even hazardous act – that originates from the idea of arental control over the future sex life of their children. I, too, love my body – including my cute, uncut penis – and would not want to have any part of it sacrified, to some ancient gods or to false beliefs that have been proven to have no medical ground whatsoever.
Besides, being uncut makes masturbation easier, cleanier (no need for artificial lubrication) and, I’m sure, more pleasurable. My wife loves doing it for me, too.

OliveParticipant1.) The surgeon can accidentally and permanently burn the end of your penis off. It has happened more than once. If he doesn’t, your penis (or your whole body) could still succumb to post-surgical infection. 2.) Thousands of nerves exist in your foreskin. Permanently numb post-surgery penis? You bet. 3.) Smegma, the substance produced by the penis and kept in place by the foreskin, has natural lubricants. It also has antimicrobials which can kill the AIDS virus. 4.) The sensitive glans of the hacked penis, missing its sheath, rubs against shorts, underwear, sheets, and pants all day. This means pain, irritation, and finally decreased feeling. 6.) Why in the world would you chop off a piece of the lovely and amazing body you were born with? Isn’t it glorious the way it is, whole and intact?

Susan27482ParticipantMy husband is uncut, and to me it’s a big turn-off. I find it to be very disgusting. However, he refuses to get cut, so I just make sure the lights are off and don’t go down on him unless he’s fully aroused, which pulls the skin back.

Angela24941ParticipantI can never get over how hung up you guys are on circumcision. Here in the UK its only carried out for medical or religious resons. IF men weren’t supposed to have foreskins they wouldn’t be born with them, simple as that. Removal of the foreskin decreases sensation BIG TIME. Because the glans is permanantly exposed, and this is the sensitive area, the pleasure is dulled over time. There is NOTHING unclean about un uncircumcised penis. Unless of course, you have a generally unclean man. I have had boyfriend in the past who have been circumcised, as well as those who haven’t. BOTH the men I slept with who were circumcised found it difficult to climax, and one of them HATED it because his penis was scarred. And to the woman who ‘hates’ her husbands uncut penis….what the hell are you doing married to him? I feel sorry for the poor guy. How would you feel if he posted on the internet that he hated your saggy lips or loose vagina?

GordonRMemberForeskin makes the penis more sensitive, and lots of people find it damned sexy. Don’t get circumcised unless you want to go without sex for about six months. Hygiene issues? Ever heard of soap?
