I usually leave a nice tip for Servers, delivery people, bartenders, etc. They are actually providing a service and making your experience more enjoyable. Also, people in these types of jobs generally make below minimum wage and rely on tips as part of their wages. However, I’m very annoyed by coffe shops, sandwich shops, and other take-out only places that have a tip jar on the counter. Aren’t these people getting paid minimum wage to work behind the counter? Am I obligated to tip them for actually doing what they are paid for? Am I out of line?
