I read in my local newspaper about a man who has created an ‘African-American’ flag. The flag combines the Black Nationalist flag (red, black, green) with the U.S.’s Stars and Stripes. I have mixed reactions about this. Will this flag represent needless separation of our people from other Americans, or will it symbolize a final unity between America and the black race? Will our people finally realize we are Americans, too?
