Cody19678ParticipantDo swimmers have small boobs cuz they swim or do they swim cuz they have small boobs and . . . why do they have small boobs?

Renea19763ParticipantIf you’re talking about top-level female swimmers, they swim because they have small breasts. It’s just like how the best gymnasts aren’t six feet tall: certain sports are conducive to different body shapes. Also, if some male swimmers go so far as to shave their heads to better their times by fractions of a second, then double-D breasts would definitely slow someone down.

Joe19766ParticipantGosh, there are so many answers. Spandex, long known for its low resistance to water friction, is worn very tight for maximum speed, thus smushing the breasts closer to the bod, thereby making them appear smaller and spread out. And breasts are largely made up of fat, anyway, and successful swimmers are lean, so it’s both. Then there is the boring answer of the lesser resistance through the water with small breasts – unlike the spoiler on a ’68 ‘Cuda.
