Ok. Im a white female, I live in alabama, a very racist and contreversal southern state. Im not proud of the whole southern thing, its embarrasing in my opinion. I see a lot of the local ‘rednecks’ as they are called with rebel flags on there clothings, car, ect. I see that, and it is embarrasing to me as a white person. In high school I went to a school with 90% white and 10 % black people. I had befriended the majority of black people, they were my friends. I respected them and thought they were awesome. They didnt like the rebel or confederate flag, nor did I . I think its stubborn and not politically right to have a rebel flag. Why can’t we all just get along ? Wheres the unity ? I think interacial with all races is perfectly fine. I see nothing wrong with it. Im just saying we can all get along if we really wanted to, its just skin . Thats all. See past that, and see the person behind it. And if you happen to be a rebel flag waver , and you find what im saying insulting. Imagine you were an african american and that flag represents the slavery and bondage from those many years… and you are bringing that back 2 life. Its not right. I think we should all get along, and respect each other. Thank you.
