BarbaraParticipantI have always been curious about the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in having sexual relationships. If a man or woman has one or no legs, does this make sex very difficult or impossible? What if an individual is missing an arm or two as well as a leg or two? What happens if both partners are disabled?

SammieParticipantI cannot speak for all disabilities, but I have a left leg amputation. My amputation is above the knee, so I still have some leg left. I have found no difficulty in having sexual relations, since before and after the amputation. I think Im basically trying to say I can still spread my legs for intercourse. The only issue I have is I don’t want the bottom of my amputated leg touched (during sex or anytime) because it is VERY sensative. I hope that helps answer your question.

Ken-Bennett26597ParticipantIn this area as in no other, ‘Where there is a will there is a way’. In high quality rehabilitation programs and facilities there are instructions given to disabled individuals on this subject. There are text books on this subject. It is actually more of a problem when there is paraplegia or quadraplegia. This often involves impotence.

ShoshParticipantOne of my co-workers has one leg. He says that the sex itself is normal, but the hard part is finding female partner (not just for sex) that is open enugh to accept somone with one leg only.
