Why would semen sometimes be a blackish or dark color instead of creamy color on an otherwise perfectly healthy male?

All I can say is, ‘Yikes!’ Has the gentleman in question seen an urologist? It sounds like darkened or oxidized blood to me. If the gentleman has not seen a doctor yet, he needs to see one–yesterday! I’m no expert but it sounds like there could be a prostate problem.

It may be clotted blood in the semen, which can sometimes give the semen a darker color. Blood in semen can be harmless and temporary but can also be a symptom of other serious problems. It should be checked out by a urologist.
