Shawn PowellParticipantIn my son’s grade 10 class (history) the teacher taught that Jews are persecuted because they killed Jesus. It was my understanding that the Catholic church no longer believed this. When my son offered that the Romans had. The teacher discounted this. This question has a special meaning for me as I am a Jew.

ShirleyAveryParticipantI know this question was post 8 yrs ago, but I’m concerned that nobody responded. I’m Jewish and it upsets me to hear that this is still taught. If this was a public school, that teacher should be reported to the administration. If that teacher is still teaching there, I wouldn’t drop it. Just Curious

DotParticipantAnd if it’s NOT a Christian school, you should have hired an attorney immediately. Religion has no place in public school. PERIOD. If you didn’t raise a fuss, go to the principal, demand the teacher’s firing, etc., you are complicit in this teacher victimizing the next kid. What you describe is criminal.
