What is so appealing to rock music? Every time i hear it at my (predominantly white) University, it makes me sick. Although this may come from the lack of exposure to it, but it seems that all it entails is screaming band members in torn or distorted clothing shouting random demonic sounding nonsense. The band members throw things out to the crowd like (used tampons in one case), and bite live animals on stage. Am i the only one, or just a whole generation of white/ suburban youth were never exposed to music that utilized actual vocals and talent and not random shouting? obviously, something was lost somewhere in time.
