JunoParticipantCan Christianity and homosexuality ever be reconciled? I have a number of homosexual friends that I love dearly, but their sexual orientation is troubling to me. There’s a part of me that says that I should try and teach them the Good Word about the matter, but another part that says love is more important than what is most likely a dated anachronism, and that Christianity is, in the end, a religion based around love, both God’s love and the love that we should show one another. As an orthodox Christian, I believe that the Bible is subject to continual re-interpretation, as many of the passages obviously make no sense when taken out of their proper historic context. But the many passages regarding homosexuality still trouble me to no end. Anybody want to help?
