Liz19774ParticipantWhy do men who have lost their sexual potency refuse to get implants? Men should get over the ‘nothing is wrong with me’ attitude and consider what they are putting their partners through.

Ann L. LowensteinParticipantMaybe these ‘selfish, proud’ men don’t feel like undergoing risky, potentially damaging major surgery just to make you happy. Penile implants have a sufficently bad track record of failure and complications that they aren’t even recommended as a treatment option by most reputable physicians unless the patient has had serious trauma which literally physically prevents an erection. Maybe you should examine why it is that you think penile penetration is the only possible form of sex, and seek psychiatric treatment for your issues.

Andy-Wood28862ParticipantThis isn’t something I can speak about from personal experience, but it seems to me that men who have lost their ability to perform have just as much, if not more, right to ask you to consider what you’re putting them through by judging them for not performing. I don’t know if most women are aware of this or not, but for many men impotency is a severe mark of shame. It would be like a man saying women should all get over their ‘nothing is wrong with me’ attitude and get breast implants for the sake of their partners.
