Why is it acceptable for blacks and affluent urban whites to call poor Southern whites ‘cracker’, ‘poor white trash’ or ‘pig-f*****’? Don’t people realize these terms are classist? And why is there no objection to the stereotype of the inbred, racist hillbilly that gets shoved in our faces constantly?
