I work in a secure building where anyone without an employee card is supposed to stop and tell security what they are doing there before they are allowed into the building. I wouldn’t dream of trying to gain access to a building that is secured like this. If I had business there, I’d only be too happy to stop and let security know why I was there. Why, then, do some people not grasp (or choose to ignore) this rule? Why do they insist on trying to ‘piggyback’ people who do have access to the building?
