Manna FisherParticipantI was wondering why it seems that homosexuals are always saying to be tolerant of their differences, but they don’t seem willing to tolerate yours when you disagree with their lifestyle choice.

ShirleyAveryParticipantTolerance means respecting someone as an equal or at least worthy of equal treatment. Do you just “disagree with their lifestyle” or do you condemn it and consider gays inferior or immoral? (I’m straight BTW) Jesus taught love and acceptance. There is no reason to “tolerate” somebody who considers you inferior or immoral as long as they are not harming you or anyone else. Do you think blacks should tolerate or respect whites who think their race is inferior? Would you tolerate men who think women are all inferior to men? If you are asking gays to respect your idea that they are not worthy of respect and equal treatment, you are not asking for tolerance, you are asking them to accept bigotry. What would Jesus do? Just Curious

DotParticipantMost gays people don’t care what you think. It’s only when you start agitating and passing laws against them that they get righteously pissed. And, what is their “lifestyle choice”? My gay friends range from unattached young party boys to middle-aged, married lesbians with children. There is no one “gay lifestyle”.
