I have lived in central Illinois all my life and have recently moved to Northeast Ohio. Whenever people hear I am from the Mideest, they assume we have low-technology and are a lot dumber. Truth is, we are very modern and people here are actually lower-tech than us! I have pointed out commodities and things they do not have and made points but they refuse to believe the Midwest isn’t modern. Are all Northeast residers this ignorant and cocky?
