JenniferParticipantI am passionate about learning to communicate in a compassionate way that meets others of different beliefs systems where they are at, and inspite of fundamental differnces creates and atmosphere that allows and nurtures connection and greater understanding. I’m learning about something called NVC or Non-violent communication as an excellent tool to connect all types of people. I am a Christian who does not judge other religions or belief systems to be ‘wrong’ or ‘bad’ but rather meeting ‘the needs that are alive in them…and therefore to be life-serving’. I often feel different than other Christians, in that I don’t judge people based upon, sexual orientation, race, sex, religion or spiritual practice. I desire to talk about differences in terms of the different universal needs that are alive in people, due to various life situations that stimulate particular feelings. Feelings being a wonderful gift that gives us clues as to our basic universal needs..which if we connect to them allow us to connect to our very core..and allow us to connect with others, since everyone has these basis needs.
