Jennifer30891ParticipantBecause men don’t do what we ask them to the first time, so we ask again. And again. And again. And again.

Student27728ParticipantI think most women nag because it is the only way we can get a response from men. Most men do not listen if we just ask them to do something, so we keep asking. This is when we start to nag. Besides, nagging works the best most of the time. If men would just listen and do it the first time, women wouldn’t have to keep hounding them about it.

HeatherMemberI nag at my fiance. I keep telling him that if he would actually do what I ask when I ask I wouldn’t have a ‘honey-do’ list. Not big things. But after six months I finally hooked the rail in the closet back up. He kept saying he would do it but never did; same with moving the table downstairs to the basement. My nagging is for simple things around the house that only take a few minutes to do, but that I sometimes feel I am incapable of doing – or at least doing alone. Also, he forgets almost everything (and I know he has a lot on his mind), but sometimes I will keep asking or telling him things because I think he will forget.

Christine32086ParticipantWe wouldn’t have to nag if you did what we said the first time.

RhondaOutlawMemberWhat is nagging to you? If you drop your dirty underwear in the middle of the bedroom floor and your wife asks you to pick them up, is that nagging? Sounds like you’re a man who resents taking any direction/advice from a woman. You’re not the first man with such an attitude, you won’t be the last.

AmyParticipantwell when we (women) have to ask men to do something repeatedly, it becomes a strain on us, henceforth if guys would listen then maybe we wouldnt have to nag at them till the go insane. it just makes more sense to do what someone asks in the first place, but yeah, i no where your comming from. MAny women are naggy. But if you guys can get away with watching hours and hours of meaningless television, then we have the right to nag when it is needed.
