While I do not see an overabundant number of them I am often mystified by older white male with a (much) younger asian partner. This is true of gay or straight couples. But I have yet ever to see an older asian male with a younger white partner. Why? What is it in the psychology of dating/relationships/power that is at play here? Ask them and they will just tell you it’s a ‘preference’. Call it what you want, but it isn’t the older white/young asian that mystifies me as much as why we never see the older asian/younger white relationships.
