What are the feelings of Middle Easterners toward Blacks? I have a friend ‘ Ashu’ who is Indian (from India, not Native Amer.), and I was surprised to learn that her parents do not approve of her dating Black men, no matter how educated and upstanding. This is not b/c they dissapprove of her dating a non-Indian (they have no qualms about her dating white men), but it is blacks specifically. It cannot be the whole ‘tainting of the race’ thing that I hear from many Whites opposed to dating blacks, b/c alot of Indians are darker than we are. I have also heard of Asians being the same way. What is with the minorities looking down on minorities thing?
