T-MParticipantWhy do nurses seem to gravitate toward police and firemen in terms of relationships?

OliveParticipantWell, I’m not a nurse, but I’m studying to be one. I’m definitely attracted to policemen and firemen. Here’s why. First, the ones I’ve met have been more stable, intelligent, sensitive, interesting, and exciting than, say, your average artist or management guy. Second, they devote 8 hours of every day to helping people who have no one else to turn to. That kind of brave willingness to do heroic things for little pay and even less recognition inspires a lot of admiration in me.

TracyParticipantWho else would understand the stressors of the job? Those are all careers with crazy schedules and an intense desire to make the world a better place. People that work odd schedules are going to have a difficult time meeting someone special outside of work. My husband and I are both cops. No one else could put up with the hectic schedule!!!
