RioMemberConsidering the statistics on sexual abuse of women and children, I find it very difficult to believe that these sexual offenders represent a ‘minority’ of males. There are TOO many instances of males kidnapping and raping (and usually murdering) women, boys, girls, INFANTS… (even ANIMALS are not safe, or adult males in prison for that matter). Additionally, certain things could not go on if men IN GENERAL did not find it to be acceptable behavior. Hundreds of kiddie porn networks and websites would not be in existence, NAMBLA wouldn’t be in existence, sites where men trade pics of women being raped… Maybe the semantics are what turn the so-called ‘nice guys’ off. Don’t call it rape. Call it ‘She said ‘no’ but really meant ‘yes.’ ‘She wanted me, I could tell.’ ‘I can read women.’ Men are aroused by having some helpless victim screaming for help and struggling to get away. They have absolutely no empathy for their victims. There are TOO MANY victims for people to say there are only a few ‘bad apples’ out there. I have personal experience with this, having been physically attacked 1)on a college campus, 2)going home from work and 3) on a date. Not to mention countless incidences of being groped and/or verbally assaulted in public. I’m not even going into domestic abuse cases. What are the ‘good guys’ (all three of them) going to do about it?
