Why do most Jews, especially parents, seem to think its outrageous for their children to marry someone other than an other Jew. I’ve seen, in years past, cases where disownment was threatened if the child pursued this avenue. In most cases where Gentiles were involved they were required to change their faith to Judaism to proceed with the ceremony, performed of course by a rabbi.
