Anna20821ParticipantWhen an acquaintance of the opposite sex that you do not have a business or familial relationship with asks you to lunch, does it imply they are attracted to you? I once thought so but now am not so sure. Could it be a sign of sophistication or savvy networking to schedule such lunches?

GregN.MemberIt could mean many things. It could mean that he is attracted to you, but he is too nervous or shy to ask you out on a “real” date. It could also mean that he views you as a friend. It really depends on the guy.

DanielPfalmerParticipantIt totally depends on the situation. I have a lot of female friends and I go to lunch with them and it is nothing sexual. But on the other hand, sometimes I use it to get closer to people that I am attracted to. You have to take it on a case by case basis.
