I find this all very fascinating! I have had Fibromyalgia for 14 yrs. now, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for @ 10 yrs, and Depression all my life. I also cried out for help with a feeble attempt to commit suicide which was really just a call for help. 14 yrs ago I was in a terrible car accident, minor spine injury but I never got better, I’ve been in and out of Depression Clinic’s … (people call them psychiatric wards) and I had almost all my paperwork filled out and ready to file for Social Security Disability and if anyone needed it I did. However I didn’t file and here’s why: I LOVE LIFE too much to stop living and for me to file would be stopping any chance I had of going back to school work, fulfilling a dream I had of becoming a Beautician etc. So … I did something drastic. I changed my diet and started to exercise. No matter how hard it is. I do it. I pray constantly and keep a positive attitude (My Mother used to ((and still does)) say, Ya gotta fake it till ya make it’.) I was 195 lbs when I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and made the change. I now take much less pain medication, work out 3-4 times a week, I’ve lost 16 lbs. AND my overall attitude about life has changed so much, even my husband and son have noticed! I’m happy today! I promise you couldn’t have said that 4 months ago! It’s amazing what exercise will do for your mental state. Not to mention our bodies So for those of you who are struggling PLEASE be my guest to e-mail me with, ‘depressed~help’ typed in the subject line so I know who you are and I’d be happy to be of support to you.
