Okay, here’s another waiter question. Why do a lot of women, especially black women, need a straw to drink water in a restaurant? Is it because they don’t want to get their lipstick messed up? Also, why do most women, equally white and black, need lemon in their water in a restaurant? Do they cut lemons at home to put in their water? I’m a woman, and I had waited tables for many years before my current job, and have always wondered this. (PS – we called it a ‘deluxe water’ where I used to work.)
