This is a question on Law (preferably UK Law). To be precise its to do with Medician and law in the UK. I know full well that in the UK patients in hospitals are legally allowed to refuse treatment. Even if its at the cost of their own lives. Christian Science followers are gonna be most famous for doing this out of all religions. Jehova,s Witness wont allow blood transfusions or transplants. I know that abortion in the republic of Ireland, is only ever allowed to be done, if the baby puts the womans life in danger. Obviously the woman is allowed to refuse the abortion being done if she so desires (i.e. she is a pro life anti-abortion Christian). But heres a deep question, what if the pregnant woman was in a coma, and the doctors predicted the baby was gonna put the womans life in danger?. Who,s consent do they get then?. Or would the doctors just go ahead and abort the baby without anybodys consent? (as they cant ask the woman). Or do they have to legally ask her next of kin? (i.e. her husband, or father if she isent married).
