Why do many black males like to lay back in their seats while driving? It seems to me that driving this way would be dangerous.

Because it is cool. I believe it started with leaning on armrests in cars. The lean became exaggerated, as many things do. It was immortalized in the song lyrics ‘Diamond in the back, sunroof top, digging the scene, in a gangster lean’ in the early ’70s.
