This past year, a number of people have asked me if I celebrate Thanksgiving–or ‘corrected’ themselves after they wished me a happy Thanksgiving. What is up with this? Do people not understand the diference between secular days like Thanksgiving, which American Jews celebrate, and Christian days like Christmas and Easter, which we do not?
