I’ve dated a couple of jealous guys in the past. I’ve always thought that jealousy is a negative, undesirable characteristic and I should avoid it. The last man I dated told me he’s jealous because that’s how he should feel about the woman he loves. I did not feel loved by this; I felt bothered and smothered by him always asking if I talk to other men. How do jealous lovers justify their feelings? Does anything trigger jealousy or is it apart of someone’s personality? Also, do particular cultures ‘appreciate’ jealousy more than others?
