I am a 33-year-old white female from a small town in Texas. Recently, my children and I got lost while driving in a big city, and when I pulled off the freeway to ask directions, I noticed we were in an all-black neighborhood. It scared me and I got back on the freeway. Why did this bother me? I’m not racist and love all people. And what should I tell my children about what happened?
