Incarceration relative to race

    Why is it that there is still such a large proportion of black men in prison, despite the vast availability of social service programs geared to help the incarcerated? It seems that this trend has been prevalent for several decades, and does not appear to shown overt signs of subsiding. I think that those individuals who intimate that police ‘profile,’ or ‘single out’ black men specifically, is both flawed, and actually, is an attempt to skirt issue. The statistics tell the story.
