I know nothing, this much I know. I do not know why some people are white, others black, others still yellow or red. You come, I say hello and smile. I do not know why some people speak english, others chinese, or german, or french, or any other language. If you do not understand my ‘hello’, I will hug you. I do not know whether it is better to eat with a spoon, a fork, some chopsticks or your fingers. Eat and get a full belly; and if you are still hungry I will serve you another helping. I do not know whether it is appropriate to call you ‘african’, ‘asian’, ‘caucasian’, ‘pacific islander’, or by any other word. There have been so many words and I have gotten lost so long ago. Just tell me your name. I do not know where you come from; there are so many of you. I do not know where you go; there are so many roads. But when you step into my house, you must have come from the garden in front of it. I do not know the first and last thing about you. I do not need to know. When you fall, I help you up. When you cry, I comfort you. When you are hungry, I feed you. When you are alone, here I am. When you are cold, here is my coat. When you die, here are my tears. How much do I need to know in order to do just that??? I know nothing!!! This much I do know… ‘Welcome, how can I help you?’
