C. HatcherParticipantI am a multiracial child, raised in an even more multicultural home. I am Asian (Korean), Native American (Cherokee), and Caucasian, but I was raised in a home with an African-American father. I love my parents, but I just don’t know where I belong. I consider myself a mutt and it’s hard to really make friends. Only blacks consider me to be an acceptable friend because I’m a minority and I know how it feels to receive the bad end of discrimination. Some whites are very understanding and are also good friends, but they don’t know what it’s like. Asians don’t really associate with me because I don’t speak Korean and I’m multiracial. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know where I belong. Can someone just explain to me or help to belong somewhere? Thanks.
