I must say that you are a very intelligent woman, especially for a mere 20-year-old. I, too, have noticed that many writers denote the race of a character only when he/she is not Caucasian, and that is unfortunate. I don’t think that this is too big of an issue, but I find myself getting quite annoyed when watching a bit of television here and there. I think to myself, ‘Ooh, he’s Asian or black, stop making such a big deal out of it.’ It would be nice if the person were just treated like the rest of the characters. So what if this person is black or Asian (unless of course it’s absolutely necessary to the plot)?
