JohhnyParticipantI have very hairy legs, and in the past I have trimmed my leg hairs to make them appear shorter. This backfired, as the hair grew back longer, curlier, coarser, more uneven, etc. If I were to wax my legs, would this help my situation by at least allowing my leg hairs to grow back more natural-looking? Thanks in advance.

Ann L. LowensteinParticipantIf you’re going to wax them, have it done professionally, at a licensed salon with high standards of hygiene (i.e., no re-use of the wax). While it’s not as common as disease transmittal from re-used needles at tattoo parlours, you can pick up some pretty nasty crud at a waxing salon which re-uses the wax, because it’s not heated to a high enough temperature to kill bacteria, fungus and viruses. BadKarma!

ShirleyAveryParticipantSome women find hairy men attractive and sexy. If your legs are pathologically hairy compared to the rest of your body, see a doctor. Might be an endocrine problem; otherwise, don’t worry about it. Just Curious

CherylMMemberIf you can stand it, epilate. The more you do, the less hair grows over time until eventually, you only have to epilate once a month or so. It really works.
