why is it that the white people in my office feel the need to greet me with a salutation from a rap record. Ie; ‘Whasup girlfriend?’, ‘whats up homegirl?’ I do not greet them in that manner nor do I carry myself that way. Its very uncomfortable for me and often makes me feel as though they feel like I do not have a strong command of the English tongue. Is that true?
