BearParticipantDo black people feel more that white people actually hate them, or just that whites don’t understand/appreciate their black culture? Rachel30205ParticipantI think it depends on the circumstances. I have certainly been in situations when I felt that white people hated me – for example, when they yelled ‘nigger’ when I was simply walking down the street, minding my own business, or when they refused to give me service in a store or restaurant, etc. But there are other times, with co-workers or casual aquaintances, when I just feel misunderstood or sense discomfort on the part of white people, but not necessarily hate or dislike.
