H-SmythParticipantIf a girl or woman has a lot of arm hair, is it considered very unattractive? How do people generally feel about female arm hair when it is very visible?

C.J.MemberI can’t speak for men, but as a woman with noticeable arm hair, I can say it hasn’t had a negative effect on my romantic life. I hated it when I was growing up. In school, I would sit with my arms in my desk, snipping it. Then I kind of got over it and didn’t think one way or another about it.
For the most part, I have found that when one is comfortable with and confident about oneself, men find you most attractive. If you’re not so self-conscious about it, others won’t be so conscious of it. If you don’t make a fuss over it, no one else will.
I have now met many men who find my arms especially attractive – men who upon first encounter notice my arms and say how much they like it (this I find just a little weird/creepy; not so much that someone would like it, but that someone would talk about it when we first met, almost like revealing a fetish or something because it’s generally very sexually suggestive).
As I’ve gotten older and matured, I’ve come to appreciate myself and my body much more, including my arms. I have always loved different textures, in clothes, plants, you name it. And I kind of like my arms; they have a different feel to them. I meet plenty of men, and it’s never been an issue.
