Sabie19649ParticipantOk, I was on a pleasant date with a boy my own age, things are going well, and when we go out to our respective cars at the end of the evening, I was surprised to discover him walking towards a dark-colored sporty number, and said so. When he asked why, I replied that I had thought the red, somewhat less flashy car nearby was his. He seemed astonished, even insulted, that I didn’t remember what kind of car he drove. (I was looking at HIM, not his car.) He hasn’t called me since. Everything else that transpired that evening went great, and he only seemed visibly disturbed by this one incident, so I can only assume that was what did it. I guess I was supposed to be stunned and amazed by it when I met him in front of the restaurant, and the fact that I barely remembered it was somehow slighting his manhood. Guys, I was under the impression that you hated it when girls asked what kind of ride you had, because it was a sneaky way of trying to gauge your financial situation. Isn’t the fact that I don’t care how much a guy makes or what kind of car he drives a GOOD thing?!
