While reading through some old posts I noticed that there are quite a few black women who are lesbians (or perhaps just a few who freguent these posts). I started thinking about TV and how it is more acceptable to show gay relationships (Will & Grace or Adam Sandler’s ‘Big Daddy’) One thing that I stopped to realize is that I have never saw a TV show or movie that contained black women lesbians. Perhaps I am just not watching enough movies but the majority seem to be white female lesbians, white male gay men or flamboyant artsy gay black men. My question is to all gay races…. do you feel under-represented or upset over the fact that your lifestyles are not portrayed enough/correctly on the TV screen??
